Air France’s Amicale Sportive moves to SEPA with Exalog

After ten years of using the Exabanque software, Air France's Amicale Sportive has adopted Direct-debits, another solution from the publisher Exalog, to manage its SEPA direct debits and mandates. Philippe Herbinet, retired pilot, talks about the implementation of the software.

Could you introduce us to your association?

Our association offers a variety of sporting activities to Air France employees and retirees as well as their dependents. We have 7800 members for 46 sports, divided into several sections.

What is your position and your role within the association?

I am a volunteer in the golf section of Roissy, where I held the position of President for 10 years. Since my arrival, I have been in charge of member samples.

How do you take these samples?

In 2005, I created a direct debit card system that saved me from having to manage too many checks. Thanks to this system, I made a monthly direct debit per member. To adjust the golf courses, I first edited Excel files which I then converted to text format. Then I took care of the remote transmissions via Exabanque, another Exalog solution that we were using at the time.

The arrival of SEPA prompted us to change our way of working. Being satisfied with Exabanque, our choice naturally fell on Direct-debits, the solution dedicated to direct debits from our publisher Exalog. I made my first SEPA direct debit on the software in March 2014. Today I manage nearly 500 mandates thanks to Direct-debits.

In general, how was the implementation of the software?

Thanks to the very available and attentive assistance of Exalog, the implementation went smoothly.

How did you hear about the move to the SEPA format?

I learned of the arrival of SEPA thanks to a message displayed by Exalog on the home page of the Exabanque software.

How did implementation go?

The arrival of SEPA initially complicated my task because I was not familiar with either the XML format or the sequential status, concepts that did not exist when I was working on Exabanque. But the assistance was able to disperse the gray areas and today I am completely independent.

What functions do you use in the mandate management option?

I use the multi-criteria search as well as the storage of the history of the mandates and their amendments

What conclusion can you draw from your use of the Direct-debits software?

In my opinion, the online help of Direct-debits would benefit from being enriched. But overall, the software works fine for me.

Currently, our support teams are filling this gap and answering questions from our users. When the online help has been expanded, they will be able to be more independent in their use of the software.
